Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 5 November 2026 · Last updated 5 November 2026

1. About this Policy

1.1 This Acceptable Use Policy (the Policy) applies to everyone who uses Auditer, including the website, the web portal, the mobile apps and the Auditer Agent. It forms part of our Terms of Use, and words defined in the Terms have the same meaning here.

1.2 The Owner of a workspace is responsible for making sure that members of the workspace follow this Policy.

1.3 This Policy is published in English. If it is translated, the English version governs if there is any difference.

2. Use Auditer lawfully

You must not use Auditer to:

  • break any law, including tax, data protection, information technology and consumer protection laws;
  • create false or misleading invoices, e-way bills, returns or accounting entries;
  • commit fraud, or help anyone else to commit it;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy; or
  • store or send content that is unlawful, threatening or abusive.

3. Access only data you are authorised to see

3.1 Connect only Tally companies and GSTINs that you own or are authorised to act for.

3.2 Do not try to access any account, workspace or company data that you have not been given access to.

3.3 Do not use another person’s account, mobile number or one-time code.

3.4 If you are a member, stay within the access the Owner has given you. Do not copy or share workspace data for purposes the Owner has not allowed.

3.5 If you find that you can see data you should not see, stop using it and tell us at [email protected].

4. Messages to your parties

Auditer lets you send payment reminders and alerts to your parties by WhatsApp, email or SMS. You set the rules, so you are responsible for these messages. You must:

  • send messages only to your own customers and other parties you deal with, and only where you have a lawful basis to contact them;
  • not send spam, bulk promotional messages, or messages unrelated to your dealings with the recipient;
  • respect requests to stop messages, and Do Not Disturb (DND) preferences under the rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI);
  • follow WhatsApp’s business messaging policies; and
  • keep messages accurate and polite, with no threats, harassment or misleading statements about amounts due.

We may pause messaging for a workspace if we receive complaints or if our messaging providers report misuse.

5. Protect the Service

You must not:

  • attack, overload or disrupt the Service, including through denial-of-service attacks or load testing without our written permission;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the Service without our written permission;
  • scrape, crawl or extract data from the Service by automated means, except through features we provide for that purpose;
  • copy, decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the Service, the apps or the Auditer Agent, except to the extent the law allows despite this restriction;
  • share your one-time codes or account, or let more than one person use a single seat;
  • get around credit charges, seat limits, access controls or other limits, for example by tampering with the apps or the Auditer Agent, or by creating accounts to collect free credits; or
  • upload or send viruses, malware or any other harmful code.

If you find a security weakness in the Service, report it to [email protected] and do not use it. Our security page has more detail.

6. Government portals and credentials

6.1 Use only GST portal, e-invoice and e-way bill credentials that belong to you, or that you are authorised to use.

6.2 Do not use Auditer to access these systems for any GSTIN you are not authorised to act for, or to submit data you know to be false.

7. AI features

Do not misuse AI insights or Ask Auditer, for example by trying to get around their safeguards or to obtain data you are not authorised to see. AI outputs may be wrong, so review them before you rely on them.

8. What happens if this Policy is broken

8.1 If we reasonably believe this Policy has been broken, we may:

  • investigate the matter;
  • pause messaging or other features for a workspace;
  • suspend or end the access of a member, a workspace or an account, as set out in section 12 of our Terms of Use; and
  • report the matter to the authorities where the law requires it.

8.2 Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. We may act straight away in urgent cases, such as a security threat, a legal requirement or a risk of harm to others.

8.3 Suspension under this Policy does not entitle you to a refund of credits.

9. Reporting abuse

9.1 To report misuse of Auditer, write to [email protected]. Please include what happened, when, and any messages or screenshots that help us look into it.

9.2 If you received a message from a business that uses Auditer and want it to stop, please contact that business directly. You can also tell us, and we will look into it.
